Booth Exhibition & Seminar at TICAD9 (August 2025)

Fukuoka City, together with UN-Habitat Fukuoka Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific and Fukuoka Environment Foundation, has been selected to participate in the 9th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD 9) to be held in Yokohama, Japan, from August 20 to 22, 2025, as a Thematic Events (“Seminar and Sympodium” and “Booth Exhibition and Panel Exhibition”) by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

 

TICAD is an international conference on African development led by the Government of Japan and organized since 1993 in collaboration with the United Nations, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the World Bank and the African Union Commission (AUC).

TICAD 7, held in Yokohama in 2019, attracted more than 10,000 participants, including 42 Heads of State and Government, 53 African countries, 52 development partner countries, representatives of 108 international and regional organizations, and civil society representatives such as the private sector and NGOs.

The Fukuoka City Booth and Seminar at TICAD 9 will be open to public. We look forward to your participation.
