Parking your bicycle

1. Where to park your bicycle

You must use a bicycle parking area when parking your bicycle.
Bicycles parked on the street and other places that are NOT a designated parking area will be considered abandoned and removed.
Abandoned bicycles not only spoil the view of the city but also pose a real danger to pedestrians and wheelchair users by obstructing the way.
Follow the rules, and use bicycle parking areas properly.

2. Information on the removal of abandoned bicycles

Abandoned bicycles are taken to a bicycle storage area.
If the owner can be identified, they will be contacted. Fukuoka City publishes information on abandoned bicycles in the Fukuoka City news letter. Once one month has passed from publication, any bicycles that remain unclaimed by then are disposed of.
You must pay a storage charge of 2,500 yen to get your bicycle back.
