Fukuoka was and still is a town of music. It was this soil that created the event Music City Tenjin. It is held for two days in mid-October every year in halls, live houses, parks and streets throughout Tenjin. The event is a joint effort of the local music industry and Fukuoka City, and aims to make Fukuoka a music industry city. During the event, the city becomes one big music box with enthusiastic music fans coming from all over Kyushu.
