Fukuoka is surrounded by green mountains to the south and east as it winds itself along Hakata Bay. Within this abundant natural environment, Fukuoka developed into a highly orderly and functional city. Unlike the larger metropolitan areas in Kanto, Fukuoka is an unusually compact city where residential areas, commercial areas, and entertainment areas are only a short distance away from one another. Fukuoka will use this advantage to build a comfortable and convenient city where leisure, home life, and work can merge.

- Picture 4. “Morning Cafe” provides breakfast for limited periods of time. Only Fukuoka, famous for its open-air stalls, offers this type of event.
